Vera's clinical experience include working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dysfunction of Sensory Integration, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Developmental Delays (DD), speech and language delays, and learning difficulties. Due to her interest and certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, she has also been assigned to co-facilitate the Step Ahead program at Guangyang Secondary School for at-risks youths, and the Social Skills program at St. Andrew's Secondary School for students with social skills deficits.

Vera has a deep passion for working with children, which inspired her to pursue occupational therapy as a long term vocation to help children with special needs. Her bubbly personality and love for children enables her to connect with them easily, developing an engaging therapeutic bond in the process. Her patience and positive attitude also enables her to work well with children of varied ages.

Vera has also gained experience beyond the clinical setting via government-endorsed early intervention settings. She has had experience in the administration of an early intervention program for preschool children between 3-6 years old.

Vera believes in continual self-development, and that one is never too old to stop learning. She is proactive in initiating professional development, taking up courses, workshops and seminars that enable her to be updated on current treatment practices and to explore new trends and novel research.

Vera strongly believes in providing value added and client-centred services that include parent education as all these plays an integral part in achieving successful therapy outcomes and developmental improvements in the child.
