Experience

Sheenaz is an occupational therapist who graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore and from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. She is a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) and has received Full Registration status in the Allied Health Professions Council.

During her years of practice, Sheenaz’s clinical experience has seen her working with children diagnosed with various developmental and learning disabilities. These include the diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Sensory Processing Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Down Syndrome and Language Disorders.

Sheenaz takes a keen interest in working with children with special needs in both the private clinical and community settings. She has had experience serving as an occupational therapist at the Eden Children’s Centre (a specialized early intervention centre for children within the autism spectrum). She has also been actively involved in the Step Ahead Program which focused on secondary school students considered at risk of deviant behaviour.

Sheenaz has always had a strong passion for working with children. Prior to her vocation as a certified occupational therapist, she successfully tutored students who were weak in their academic studies. During these initial years, she had the privilege of working with a wide range of students. She tutored children from the preschool years up until the secondary school years.

Sheenaz is devoted to continually update her clinical skills. In doing so, Sheenaz has actively participated in workshops and courses abroad for professional development. She has received training and is proficient in utilising the following treatment techniques:
