Experience
 
Nur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). She has working experience with children in Singapore and in the Netherlands.

In Singapore, she has worked in various therapy centres. At KIDZ - Pediatric Occupational Therapy Consultants, she enjoys working with the children helping them in the various areas in their development such as attention span, organization skills, gross motor skills and handwriting skills. She works closely with the parents and teachers to enable the children to succeed in their development.

In the Netherlands, she was involved in projects to help children in their schools and used to work with children at Stichting Omega and the Royal Dutch Visio (Koninklijke Visio). She enjoyed working with schools; analysing what the needs of the children are and supporting the teachers with the appropriate tools.

She believes that every child should have the chance to succeed in their dreams. Having an extensive knowledge in having worked with children locally and internationally, she understands the different needs of each child and carries out interventions that are appropriate for them.

She is adept in implementing the various intervention modalities such as:

  • Cogmed Professional Training Course v3.0
  • Handwriting without Tears ® (HWOT)
  • The Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP)
  • Assessing and implementing interventions for children with handwriting difficulties
  • The Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
  • Sensory integration interventions
  • Interactive Metronome (IM)
  • Implementation of programmes working on visual skills, to aid in academic skills, such as the Tracking and Perceptual Skills for Occupational Therapist (TPOT) programme
