Experience

Pevlyn is a pediatric occupational therapist who has a strong passion for supporting children and adolescents in their developmental and behavioural needs. She is invested in enabling children with different diagnoses to reach their potential. These diagnoses range from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, developmental delays, speech and language disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia to Dyspraxia

Pevlyn’s experience includes working in one of Singapore’s premier schools that caters to students with special needs. In her current setting, she is adapt at assessing clients and providing intervention to support progress in her clients. These interventions range from praxis intervention, sensory based regulation, nurturing the attainment of skill for activities of daily living training and vocational training. She believes in the benefits of collaborating with paraprofessionals such as speech and language therapists and educators to provide holistic learning. She empathises and appreciates the multifaceted challenges faced by clients and their families. Hence, through her work, Pevlyn stresses the importance of meeting the child at the level where they can feel understood and supported. From this engagement approach, progress through intervention is achievable.
