Experience

Yen Wong is an educational therapist who holds a Bachelor Degree in Education. She has been a valued member of the KIDZ team since 2009.

Certified in COGMED Working Memory Training® and the Interactive Metronome Program, she has helped children improve their cognitive ability and performance. These children experience a range of learning differences including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Developmental Delays (DD) and speech and language. The age of her clients ranges from pre-school, elementary school, middle school, high school to college. She aims to help them improve behaviour, their ability to pay attention, resist distractions, self-manage, and learn. Yen meets up regularly her clients’ advocates, as she believes in working collaboratively to support their needs. 

Yen is also a Chinese Language teacher with years of teaching experience. Her students range from mainstream to international schools. Yen believes that even generating interest through enjoyment of the language is the greatest motivator to mastering the Chinese language.
